Summer style and the 3 S's.

I have to admit that I am an autumn girl at heart. I love traipsing around in leather boots, scarves, a colorful knit beanie, sipping on hot cocoa and curling up in a coffee shop. Now, don't get my wrong, I love the summer too - mostly warm summer nights that allow me to keep my shorts and tank on at 9pm, and feel the warm summer breeze on my sun-kissed, sunblocked skin! But to be honest, I'm always stuck on what to wear in the summer. In beautiful SoCal, we get this phenom called "June gloom" and it is enough to drive a fashionista bonkers. It's cardigan weather up until the clouds burn off, around 11am or 12pm, and I'm left needing an entire outfit change! So basically, layers are my BFF. This summer, you can find me in 3 key things: 1) stripes 2) short shorts 3) flat sandals I majorly love these summertime outfit ideas from Piperlime - fun combos of stripes + lace, nude strappy heels and flat leather sandals, too. The Steve Madden 'Stecy...

Black Friday hangover with Sole Society

So I neeeeever do this, but for some reason yesterday I totally caught the Black Friday fever! I set my alarm for 5:30am, and opened my peepers to the sound of silence in my house...and it inspired me to jump outta bed, jump into my sneakers and throw up a ponytail for a little early shopping trip! It was quite a success, I must say, and I knocked nearly all of my Christmas shopping out of the way! Now, I can enjoy most of December without thinking about what I'll get so-and-so. But now that my tired Black Friday, early-riser hangover has kicked in, I figured I'd blog a little today and tell you about some pre-Christmas treats I recently snagged for myself. Why the heck not?! If you are a shoe, handbag or accessories maven like me, I'm sure you know of Sole Society . Mainly known for their fashionable kicks, and recently launched line by the adorable Julianne Hough , Sole Society flaunts all sorts of great stuff, for a price that's juuuuust right. My recent wears are ...

If the moccasin fits...

The one thing I love about shoes is that there are so many different types of shoes. If it's heels, you've got stilettos, wedges, kitten heels, classic pumps, peep-toe heels, round and pointed toe--to name a few. When it comes to flats, you've got ballet flats, pointed-toes, peep-toes, trendy tennies...and my new fave: moccasins! Being 8 months pregnant (holluh!), I will confess that I'm turning to flats more and more these days. Don't worry, I'll get my heel action back on in no time, but in the meantime, I've discovered all kindsa cute flats. This week, I'm lovin' my moccasins from LAMO footwear! LAMO's 'Gabrielle' mocs are full suede material, fringed at the toe, and filled with a contrast color at the toe box. Love! They come in a few different colors--including the coveted leopard color, but this hot mama opted for the chocolate-colored moc (could it be the cravings? Jury's still out). Check it. If you wanna see more o...

On Men's Style: Burnetie Footwear

My husband is the cutest. Ok ok ok, hopefully EVERYONE would say that about their husband, but I really do love mine. He's not the biggest fan of shopping and fashion, but he is open-minded enough to occasionally allow me to go shopping for him, dress him up like my own Ken doll, and even push the limits once in a blue moon, with skinny jeans and hipster boots. And it all looks so good on his many physique, so I can't help be continue to work my fashionista magic on him! When it comes to shoes, the hubs knows what he likes. He likes comfort and versatility: kicks he can wear to work and to play. His latest love are these 'Mark' boat-style canvas men's shoes from Burnetie . They go with his blue jeans, grey jeans, and even stylish shorts for summertime. Love, love, love! Oh, and he wants me to tell you all that these shoes make him feel extra manly--so manly he automatically gravitates toward manly tools like an axe. Oh yeah. So what does your manly-m...

Say it with slippers.

So I do a lot of reviews on shoes...heels, you know, my first love. It's just sorta my thing. But after a long day of high heel wearing and running around the office, the secret to keeping my feet happy lies in a good pair of cozy slippers. I gotta take care of these feet, ya know?! And because I just found some amazing new sheepskin slippers from a fab online shop called LAMO , I decided to share the good news with y'al l , too. Headquartered just outside the city of Los Angeles, it's easy to see a strong LA influence in their slipper to street wear style. The LAMO look is relaxed and comfy, with an edge and an eye for on-trend. LAMO uses the best sheepskins, dense soft wool from Australian Merino sheep, and a premium quality of Australian Merino wool. Not only is LAMO super quality, but they are super earth-friendly too--using production methods and materials that minimize environmental impact big-time. From their slippers , boots , and moccasins , LAMO ca...

Sneaker talk!

As these love-r-ly fall and winter months creep in, it's time to expand the shoe selection and throw the sandals to the back of the shoe closet yet again. Maaaan, I just love this time of year! Scarves, coats, boots, corduroy, suede, leather...the bundled-up list goes on and on. The changing of the season always brings in the new--and one of my favorite things about the cooler months of October, November, December is the new styles and brands I come across. That's why I was beyond stoked when I found Burnetie Shoes . Burnetie brings to the table a product that fits every gals' lifestyle, with an un-compromised quality, and a no-nonsense price. Probably the coolest thing about Burnetie is that they strive for a "zero waste manufacturing process by factories that are as much committed to their employees as they are to their customers. " I dig! Burnetie Shoes also boasts award-winning Corporate Responsibility programs--it's no wonder, since they're outso...
