How cute are you?!

I've been feelin' a bit under the weather lately--bummer huh. Who gets sick in the summer anyway?! Well, while I've been laying flat on my back on the couch, indulging in daytime tv and hot tea, I have been doing a little online browsing at shoes (are you surprised?). The Anthropologie site has been catching my eye in particular, with all of their vintage-inspired looks and classic shoe trends--how cute are you, Anthro?! Check out these boots that I'm especially diggin'... These chestnut leather Bowtied-Beauty Boots are beyond adorable, with just a slight heel for some added height. Three dainty bows right up the side, along with a side zipper to snug you in. I love how high they are too--bound to be cute with my favorite skinny jeans on a cool fall day. Super feminine and full of chic style. Try these Crossweave Boots on for size--they sport basketweave-textured leather, with a sweet round-toe, and a lovely 4" wooden clog-ish heel. These boots are easy on /

Winnin' my heart back

Remember Jessica Simpson's famous "is it tuna or is it chicken" statement back in the days of beginning reality tv? If you missed this awesome episode of MTV's Newlyweds with 98-degrees-Nick, please feel free to catch up to mainstream society here . For some reason, that less-than-lovely confession of confusion on Ms. Simpson's part scarred me. I totally wrote that blond off! But I do have to say that lately, J has been winnin' my heart back with her consistently amazing Jessica Simpson Collection label. The brand is jam-packed with awwwwesome shoes , accessories , handbags , and more! My latest fave is Jessica Simpson's denim line --newly released and what a bargain! Well, now thru 8/1, the tuna-fish-lovin' lady is offering 20% off your purchase ( promo code 20BACK ), and in honor of that discounted deal, I wanted to show off a few of my favorite kicks. I LOVE it when I find a great pair of red heels. Sucha treat! But sometimes it's a real chal

Shootie Booties

In honor of the cloudy weather outside my California window this morning, as well as the killa' 20% off savings on all sale items going on at Piperlime.com (ends today! enter promo code EXTRA20 ), I wanted to show off a few ultra cute styles for fall--or as I affectionately call them: shootie booties. Short & sweet, with that sorta boyfriend-look, and jam packed with buckles, studs and zipper details, it's about time you get to shoppin' for fall (it's really just right around the corner now!). For starters, lookie here at these Hive & Honey 'Marlen' ankle boots--100% leather on a just-right 3 1/2" stacked heel. I, of course, really dig the braided tie detail at the ankle, making these very J.Crew-esque boots something that will go with everything in your fall wardrobe. A great staple at a great price! Or whaddya think of Kenneth Cole Reaction's 'Cheap Trick' open-toe bootie?! All leather--from the lining to the outsole and the upper--

Meet me on Monday!

Good morning & happy Monday, readers! I had an amazingly fun weekend once again--saw the movie Inception (with my beloved Leo DiCaprio) and then had friends from out of town come visit! Also went wedding dress shoppin' with my lovely soon-to-be sis-in-law! True summer weekend. What did you do this weekend? Welllllll, lately I've been thinking about how delightful it is to get to know the authors of the blogs I follow...and then I came across this cute cute idea on the Cabootique blog called 'Meet me on Monday'! Loved it. Tryin' it. Enjoy! 1. What do you normally eat for breakfast? Eggs (scrambled) & deeeelicious turkey bacon...and of course coffee, yum. 2. What kind of car do you drive? Red-hot Honda Civic Coupe (my best friend named her Jessica Rabbit, haha). 3. Have you ever met a famous person(s)? Haven't shaken hands with a famous person, no (never like to bombard them), but I DID recently sit in the same restaurant as the hilarious Seinfeld star

Platform Pretty

Did anyone else (above the age of 18) watch the series finale of The Hills last night? I sure did! Went to Taco Tuesday with my main man and afterward, he generously let me curl up on the couch and hog the tube for a few hours of my MTV-junkfood. I have to say, it is the end of an era (an era of reality tv my blood pressure & I can surely do without), and it was indeed an interesting ending! Well on The Hills Aftershow the lovely L.A. ladies were all proudly sportin' their best platforms and it got me all MTV-inspired to do a little post-show write up... Some of you may know after looking at one of my recent posts that I most def have a sick obsession with these Jessica Simpson 'Waleo' Pumps . I keep thinking about them...keeping the last tab on my Firefox browser open on them...I think I'll soon have to breakdown and hit 'add to bag'! I'm feelin' the nude leather color right now--a color bound to make my 5'4"-frame look a tad longer. No

Vegas & some news!

Well friends, I'm headin' out to Vegas today for a little bachelorette party fun! One of my oldest friends is tying the knot next month (in Hawaii!), so we must send her out with a bang! Actually, my plans are mainly to lay by the pool, sip cool cocktails, and dance the night away in some of my cutest shoes on (although I'm craving these Jessica Simpson 'Waleo' pumps in blue violet to take with me!). I just know it'll be a good time in the hot hot desert sun! But before I go, I wanted to tell my lovely loyal readers (that's you !) a little piece of exciting news. I've got my first published-in-print piece out in one beautiful lifestyle mag called Locale Magazine (if you're not a fan on FB yet, do it to it !). It's really a fabulously designed piece of work--all of the pretty pages inside are dedicated to supporting and patronizing local business --a great mission in my mind! The article I wrote is called Locale Looks , featuring fun local hot

Boots for the Twihearted

Twilight fans, silence your cell phones, put down your 'Team Edward' signs and check this little sneak peak out! I just came across a fun Twihearted newsflash that sassy little Ashley Greene (one of the stylish 'Twilight' cast members) was spotted in the studded & chic '6.69' boot from Be&D 's Pre-Fall 2010 line. Now normally, I'm no star-gazing shoe girl (actually not even a Twilight series lov'a), but Ms. Greene sure wears these studded boots well! I just couldn't help myself. A conservative 1/2-inch heel on these rocker girl boots is just right--and the best part is, you can fold down the top & convert into lower booties! They look uhhh-mazing with jeans of all shades since they're a great rich black leather. The price on these is a bit too rich for my blood (insert vampire joke here) but maybe I can live vicariously through one of my wealthier readers! Ok, resume what you were doing...just wanted you to check these out wit

Mighty Aphrodite

Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, didn't see what was comin' once she spotted these drop-dead-gorgeous Vince Camuto 'Aphrodite Doe' heels! Check out this fiercely buckled-up peep toe sandal with it's one-of-a-kind cutout detail and status hardware. Woooowee, you can't go wrong with these Camutos when you're throwin' on any outfit--be it skinny jeans, linen shorts or a fabulous dress. And at 4 inches tall, you can see oh-so clearly the fashionista world that lives around you! For a dressed-down version of the neutral strappy sandal, you just might wanna check out these Pour La Victoire 'Pascale' sandals. Made in the beautiful Brazil, these stunning camel-colored sandals boast soft pretty leather, edgy golden studs, and thin braided straps. What more could you want? Also standing at 4 ½-inches with a 1 ¼-inch platform you'll get fabulous height & impeccable style all at once! Well m'lovelies...I do hope you all had a fun & happ

Happy High Heel 4th!

So before I head out for a fun little 4th of July weekend in my sweet hometown, filled with hot summer nights, fireworks and champagne...I wanted to leave you all with a few RED, WHITE, & BLUE lovelies! It's my civic duty to do just that, isn't it?! Well, I'm 99% sure that girls all over this free land will be tossing on sassy sandals, wedges and heels to celebrate firework-filled BBQs and fun family celebrations. To inspire the red, white, & blue-wear I wanted to show ya these delicious patriotic kicks: I'm majorly crushing on TOMS shoes right now (as you can see from one of my last posts and the 'Aira' Cordones). Well that crush continues with TOMS 'Calypso' wedge and the summery, candy-striped style that it boasts. This canvas peep-toe wedge is a comfy 3 1/2" high, and perfectly paired with your summa'time wardrobe. Plus, with every pair of shoes purchased, TOMS gives a new pair of shoes to a child in need (more TOMS info here ). I

It's like Butter.

Butter Shoes is one of my favorite brands out there right now--I first spotted them about a year ago at a sweet little shoe boutique as I was passing through San Luis Obispo, CA (a great getaway spot!). The Butter brand stood out to my high heel-gazin' eyes like no other ones in that boutique--they popped with color and a very chic style to them. So in case you haven't heard of this amazing line, lemme take a minute to shed a little light on this buttery subject for ya... Since its debut in 2007, Butter’s 'recipe for success' has evolved from the perfect peep-toe pump to chic, collectible skimmers and flats. These days, designer Nancy Geist and business partner Lee Riech continue to be dedicated to creating timeless shoes that can be reimagined each season, while keeping that perfect quality fit which has made Butter such a success! That's exactly what makes this line truly unique: the fit. Geist says, “We aren’t living in such a darling time anymo
