Spring's Top 3 Shoe Trends

Hello lovely ladies! How do you do on this fine, sunny (and windy in my neck o' the woods!) Saturday! It's a good spring-ish day for blogging and curlin' up by my sunny little window to chat shoe . After another wild week in this shoe blogger's life, I figured it was high time to narrow things down for ya a bit and tell you the good news of the Spring 2011 trends! So here's my take on a "back to basics" post on Spring's top 3 shoe trends. Drool away at these gorgeous styles (and then hit add to cart )... Numero uno: SAY YES TO ESPADRILLES. Kick back and bring the beach look to your street with espadrilles. They are stylish, comfy, and have daytime to-do written allllll over them! Check out these gorgeous Madison Harding 'Casey' espadrilles... Number two (back to English now): WEDGE IT UP. Add some spring to your step this season with a chunky wedge. It'll make your legs look extra long, and extra tiny--and will probably add that oomph

You are invited.

It's not everyday that this shoe-lovin' blogger gets out from behind her laptop and makes it to a big event or appearance to give in-person hot hot heel advice! But THIS SATURDAY, April 30th at LU LU Boutique + Gallery I'll be stoppin' by their big, big Mom's Day event to bring some spring fashion advice, and mix & mingle with some OC peeps! So. Much. Fun. And you are invited! If you haven't heard of the darling LU LU Boutique, then you best listen up! The second that I discovered this quaint beach-house-turned-boutique, I fell head over heels in love! LU LU carries the best in bangin' brands like Free People , Cecico , Splendid , Current Elliott , Quiksilver , and even chic jeans like James Jeans . Ok sure, you've heard of all of those amazing brands, love 'em to pieces...but what makes LU LU Boutique + Gallery special and set apart from the rest, you ask? Well I'll tell ya: their FAB-yoo-lus selection of especially gorgeous vintage jewel

Shoes fit for a queen.

It's officially sucked me in, I will admit. It's t-minus 1 day until the wedding of the century--yes, The Royal Wedding is upon us! I just can't help but be smitten with the sweet & seemingly everyday girl, Kate Middleton. And of course since I am the exact age of Kate's dashing young Prince Charming, I've followed his tragic and fascinating story closely. Will & Kate do make quite the lovely English he + she, and because of this whole royal to-do, I'm inspired to show off some extra special sparkly heels! That's right, I'm giving you an extra dose of Thursday eye candy, fit for a queen. Enzo Angiolini's 'Merryann' pump is always top-pick when I'm recommending wedding shoes to any soon-to-be-Mrs. ladies. Gorgeously sparkled, with a heel height that's just right, these babies are even priced right at under $80! Of course Kate Spade's 'cluster' sandals made the list of royal heels in my book! The bauble-y clust

I see Tuesday.

It's not too often that I show my mug (aka face) on my blog--I really like to focus more on shoe subjects of the day, as you can tell! But my brand new nerd-inspired eyeglasses are making me pretty stinkin' happy, I'm sorta glad I took the plunge to browse in the men's section at my eye doc this time around! ...and seems like I've joined the ranks of other geek-chic kids, like Olivia Palermo (formerly of MTV's The City ): Cute, cute. Even Avril & Anne have gone geek! Nerd love = cannnnnn ya dig it?! xoxo, holly in heels (and in specs!)

Tory get your wedge.

Happppppy stinkin' Monday, friends! Ahh, it was so, so sad to say goodbye to the weekend, I must say. But I'm glad it's another sunny day here in wonderland, and I'm up to more shoe-hunting! This time around, I'm obsessing over Tory Burch. No matter how many times I try and deny it, Tory Burch is truly amazing. Any Burch-y shoes are sure to be stylishly classic + preppy pretty all in one. Sure, sure--the price is usually a tad scary at first, but when you wear your Tory's a ga-jillion times over, perfectly paired with any outfit, you're happy you saved your pennies. And if anything, SHOES are worth it, right ladies? So here are a few eye-candy kicks from Tory Burch that I'm simply gawking over: The 'Drea' wedge --a sky high 4 1/2" wedge with a 1" platform, wooden all the way, and wonderful through & through! Beautiful leather color in natural tan, begging to make those legs look a million miles long! A very typical Tory pattern, the

Shoes that speak for themselves.

It's really very rare that I don't have something to say. Like most women (yes, I'm looking at you!) I have some opinions, some thoughts, some ideas--and most of the time those little Holly-thoughts get verbalized. Especially when it comes to shoes: I usually just can't help but share when I've found a killer sale, a wedge that's simply to-die-for, or a heel that makes a fashion statement. You wit me? Well this is one of the few times that really don't have much to say. This shoe speaks for itself! Yep, it's this gorgeously summer-stricken Betsey Johnson's 'Byrne' wedge sandal. Need I say more? You feel me, ladies? xoxo, holly in heels

Weekend edition

Hello my patient readers! You'll have to forgive me (yep, you don't have a choice) but this week has been a monster of a week for me. Lots of fun stuff on my calendar, but certainly made for a few late nights! Ahhh, the life of a shoe blogger, always full of shopping + events + more shopping. One of the fab events I found myself at this week was the Locale Magazine release party. Such a fun bash down at a waterfront resort in breezy Huntington Beach, California--I was glad to take my beau with me and make a Holly in Heels appearance! If you've paid close attention, this is the "living local" lifestyle mag that I write for--my quarterly feature is called Locale Looks , describing all of the best local finds in eating, shopping and hittin' the town! If you're an Orange County cat, make sure you pick up your free copy of Locale Magazine in & around the best of the best OC shops. If you're an outta towner, Locale Mag still has love for ya with this d
